For the 2016 year, we are pleased to announce that Attorney Thomas W. Cope’s June 2016 verdict in the wrongful death case of Estate of Rotell v. Gaime has been featured as the number 7 largest verdict for the year, coming in at over half a billion dollars. Mr. Cope was able to obtain a verdict of $504,802,368.00 in the Hillsborough County Circuit Court, 13th Judicial.
Rotell, on behalf of himself and his surviving son Adam, sued Gaime, the Department of Children and Families, Kathryn Kuehnle (the boys’ psychologist and treating therapist), and Lifepath Hospice (Gaime’s former employer). All parties except Gaime settled before trial.
